Garda Station
Look where we were today! We had a lovely visit to Buncrana Garda Station. Garda Anna took us on a tour of the station where we saw the interview rooms, prison cells and the Garda van. Thanks to Garda Anna and her work colleagues for making us feel so welcome and answering all our questions! We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit today.
Active Week Day 4
Today we had a Chill-Out Day at school. We did some yoga, meditation and mindfulness activities. We also got to wear our pyjamas! What a relaxing Friday.
Active Week Day 3
Today we visited our friends in St. Boden’s for lots of fun activities! We did yoga with Odel, mindfulness colouring sheets, fruit kebabs and outdoor games and races. It was a busy day but we just loved catching up with everybody. Thanks to our friends in St. Boden’s for welcoming us to their school. We had a great time.
Active Week Day 2
Today we met our Peace IV partner school, St. Boden’s in Swan Park and we performed our “Jungle Book” dance together. Thanks to Elizabeth Curran for leading our performance. It was lovely to catch up with our friends from St. Boden’s as part of active week.
Active Week Day 1
We met up with our Peace IV partner school St. Boden’s, had a lovely walk along Slí Na Sláinte and finished up with a trip to the playground and a game of beach football.
Hip hop in Swan Park
Our dance lesson with Elizabeth took place in beautiful Swan Park today.
BLAST artwork
As part of the BLAST Initiative with Annette, the Senior Class composed a musical piece to accompany their incredible artwork. Our Junior Class also composed a musical piece to accompany our weather theme.
Pancake Tuesday
We have been looking forward to Pancake Tuesday so much! Mrs Gallagher had a very busy morning making pancakes for us all in St. Mura's and we really enjoyed eating them. Yum, Yum!
BLAST initiative
Our Senior Classroom were using different instruments with Annette today to recreate weather sounds. Both classrooms are really enjoying our weekly music workshops with Annette as part of the BLAST initiative.
Jingle Bear teddy
Look who came to visit us today! Annette brought Jingle Bear Teddy in as part of our music lesson and we loved hearing his story and singing his favourite song.
Donegal Historical association competition
Congratulations to our Senior Classroom who came second in the Donegal Historical Society Schools Competition with their project on Buncrana 100 years ago. Thank you to Pat Shallow for visiting us and presenting us with our award today. We are so delighted with our achievement.
St. Brigid crosses
Thank you to Ursula and Sandra from Buncrana Library for inviting us over to make St. Brigid crosses today, and also thank you to Catherine and Rosaleen for coming along to help out. We really enjoyed our visit and are just delighted with our crosses.
Inishowen Credit Union Primary School Quiz
Well done to our Senior Classroom pupils who took part in the Inishowen Credit Union Primary School Quiz last night.
2022-2023 CASE/Peace IV Project
As part of our 2022-2023 CASE/Peace IV project and under the theme of wellbeing, we will be participating in 6 weeks of Hip Hop and Dance with Elizabeth Curran from STUDIO 47 . Everyone really enjoyed our fun, high energy class today and we can't wait until next week's class!
St Mura’s NS Open Afternoon
Our Open Afternoon takes place this Wednesday, 25th January from 1-3pm.
