A huge thank you to Buncrana Red Cross for coming in to teach us First Aid. Everyone really enjoyed it and we learned so much from Joseph, Patrick, Emer, Dorota and Kasia.

We welcomed Ronan to school this morning as part of Pushkin. We had so much fun learning to play the Djembi drums.

We had a brilliant day today celebrating World Book Day. Our pupils did a wonderful job of dressing up as their favourite characters. Well done to you all. 😊We all came together this morning for a special assembly with Mr. Barnes. The Junior Classroom had a zoom call with the author of Dragonterra books, Louise Flanagan, and the Senior Classroom picked up some great books with our book tokens. We also visited Buncrana Library who organised lovely activities for us for World Book Day. Happy World Book Day!

We had a lovely day recently doing pottery with Lorraine from Peninsula Pottery. This was part of the Creative Schools Programme. We made lovely creations using the theme of biodiversity and looking after our wildlife

A big thank you to Donegal County Library for inviting us over to make St. Brigid crosses. This is an annual tradition that we look forward to each Spring.

Our Senior Classroom are participating in cycle training with Fergus and Gemma McDaid. The pupils have made great progress and are learning lots about road safety.

This has been a very busy week in St. Mura’s so we were delighted to get a trip to Buncrana cinema today to see “Home Alone”. A great way to get into a festive mood! 🎅🎄 Thanks to Shauna and Gary from South Inishowen School Completion Programme for organising this and also for the delicious treats.😀

Today was a super fun Friday in St. Mura’s! We all dressed up for Halloween and had a fabulous time dancing, apple-bobbing, no hands-doughnuts and creating mummies! We also made time to have a few little treats.😁 Happy Halloween!👻🎃🦇

We had a very fun week celebrating Maths Week 2023! We did lots of exciting maths activities like pattern blocks, board games, a shape hunt, “Maths eyes” questions and answers and Smarties data charts! Both classrooms worked very well together, it was lovely to see great team-work. Well done to all our hard-working pupils!😊

Our pupils recently composed and performed a Halloween piece of music and also created monsters to accompany our music. We did this along with Annette Mcnelis through the BLAST Initiative. Thank you to Annette for working with us, we really enjoyed composing our spooky songs!🎃🎃👻🦇🦇

We were back in Buncrana Library this morning for a Lego animation workshop run by Can Do Academy. It was such a fun workshop and we really enjoyed making our animated Lego films on the ipads! Thanks to Joel from Can Do Academy and Buncrana Library for hosting us.😊

We had a great morning in Buncrana Library as part of Wainfest. We designed a book cover based on the theme of “Our senses”. Thanks to Mhairi who hosted the session today and gave us brilliant ideas for creating our covers and thank you to Buncrana Library for having us over.😀
